At Pakghor by Britto Arts Trust, people cook and eat together. The Social Kitchen becomes a meeting place and a forum for exchange in public space.
Different groups and organizations were invited to share their recipes and stories. Today, the Social Kitchen is organized by the food meeting point "stir it up" by SRK Kanton Zürich.
About "stir it up":
Refugee adolescents and young adults living in Switzerland without their families face many challenges after their arrival."stir it up" supports them on their journey toward an independent and self-determined life by helping them expand their basic knowledge and skills regarding cooking, nutrition, and health. Through group interaction, they can also practice and improve their language skills. Cooking and eating together fosters relationships and a sense of community, offering a relaxing and enriching experience for the entire group.
